Gooney Bird and All Her Charms
This book is written by author Lois Lowry. You can learn so much about the human body from reading this book. I think readers will enjoy it because it is so funny.
Gooney bird is a girl in second grade. She has a special charm bracelet. When the class is learning about the human body, Gooney bird’s uncle gives her a skeleton for her class because he is a doctor. The skeleton is called Napoleon and the kids are super excited. The students take him to the library when they learn about the brain. After that the students learn about the digestive system and so they take the skeleton to the cafeteria. But one day the skeleton went missing and the kids have to find who took the skeleton.
I like Gooney bird because she is smart and makes the classes interesting. I saw a skeleton in my cousin sister’s college. I think it would be cool to keep a skeleton in your school. Another thing I like is how the kids in this class are nice to each other.
