Author: Tom Angleberger and Cece Bell Book Review By: Arvind James Class: 4 |
Inspector Flytrap
This book is for kids who like funny books. It is a mystery but it is also so funny. If you don’t believe me, let me tell you that in this book, a plant becomes a detective! That too a Venus flytrap plant! The authors Tom Angleberger and Cece Bell thought up this fantastic idea in Inspector Flytrap.
It is not only people who are surprised to see a plant is the detective because the detective gets a phone call and the caller is also surprised that a plant can be a detective.
The detective’s assistant is a goat called Nina! She eats everything she sees. The goat puts the flowerpot with Inspector Flytrap on a skateboard and pushes him wherever he has to go. The inspector and the goat solve three mysteries in this story. I also learnt a lot from this story. For example, my mother told me about the Mona Lisa paining by Leonardo Da Vinci. The book has many cartoon drawings for kids to enjoy.
I like this book because the plant and the goat talk to each other and are so crazy. Kids who like mysteries and want to learn more about different things can read this book.
