Five on a Treasure Island

Five on a treasure Island follows the adventures of three siblings Julian, Dick, and Anne with a  cousin and a dog, who spend their summer on Kirrin Island where they stumble  upon a mysterious treasure. There are five of them which make up the Famous Five. Two boys and two girls: Anne who is helpful, sensible, funny and I think she isn’t good at keeping secrets. One of them is Georgina (she wants to be a boy  so she is called George) and the last character is a dog called Timothy.

Five on a treasure Island begins when the siblings’ parents decide to leave them in their Uncle’s house for  the summer as they were going to Scotland. Soon after packing their clothes they  set for Uncle Quentin’s house. After they reach their Uncle’s house they meet their  aunt, have dinner and go to bed. They meet their cousin in the morning and it  takes them quite a while to settle with their cousin and become friends.

The Five would often go to Kirrin Island which belonged to George where they stumble  upon a ship wreck that belonged to her great great grandfather. They explore it  for few more days until they find out there was a treasure that was hidden on Kirrin island in the castle. In the last chapter they find the treasure and barely escape from the two thieves who are trying to rob the treasure. Finaly the robbers get caught and they get the treasure, which was a  stack of gold ingots.

The best part in the story according to me was that when Dick rescues George and Julian and they narrowly escaped from the island before they  could get caught by the thieves again. The saddest part in the story according to me was that whenever Anne told Aunt Fanny what they did, she would almost  spill secrets of Timothy and the Treasure. Then she would get kicked on the knee by  Julian, Dick or George. My favourite character in Five on a treasure Island was Georgina.
