Stink and the Shark Sleepover

Stink and the Shark Sleepover is a book by Megan McDonald.

When I read the title I thought why is the boy called Stink. Then I understood it wasn’t his real name. His real name was James.

In the story, Stink’s parents win a sleepover in the aquarium.  Stink is very excited because he will be sleeping with sharks. When they go to the aquarium to sleep lots of other kids are there. He sees his friend Sophie there and also Riley who is annoying. Riley is always after Stink. Stink and the other kids go around the aquarium with a tour guide.

But after seeing the sharks Stink is worried. What if the shark tank breaks? When they come back to sleep Sophie is missing her pet hermit crab. The kids look for the crab and Stink is not afraid anymore.

I like Stink because he is very mischievous. He puts toothpaste on his sister’s face when she was sleeping. You can learn a lot of information about fish in this book. But what is so amazing is that you can go for sleepovers in the aquarium. I wish we could do that here.

If you like books where kids are up to tricks, you will like Stink and the Shark Sleepover.
