Murilla Gorilla

Murilla Gorilla is a detective story by Jennifer Lloyd.

Murilla is a gorilla who lives in the African rainforest. Her house is messy house and she puts things in the wrong place. Her toys are in the bathtub and her books are in the fridge.

One day Ms. Chimpanzee called Murilla Gorilla to help her. So Murilla Gorilla went to the Mango market. The mystery was Ms. Chimpanze was selling banana muffins but somebody stole the muffins. She was very upset and it was a mystery who did it.

Murilla Gorilla promised to find out who stole the muffins. She followed the clues and she asked the other animals to show their footprints. Nobody’s footprint was right.  After that Murilla was too tired and goes to sleep under a tree. This time a banana peel fell on her. When she looked up, she saw little chimp. She knew little chimp ate the muffins. She asked little chimp to show his footprints and she was right!

But Ms. Chimpanzee was not angry. They both baked some more muffins.

I was excited to read this book because my parents like to read detective novels and now I have one too. It is interesting because the animals from the rainforest were selling things at the Mango Market. I liked the part where Murilla used magnifying glass and asked all animals to show their footprints. My mum said it was like a real detective story but I cannot make my house so messy.

If you like animals and detective stories you will like Murilla Gorilla.
