In the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series, I am going to review the first book Diary of a Wimpy Kid written by Jeff Kinney. The genre of this book is fiction. I love this series because it’s a novel in cartoons, which helped me a lot when I started reading novels. I enjoy the funny pictures of the characters that are drawn in this book for example Greg Heffley, Rowley, Rodrick, Manny etc.

This first book in this series is my most favourite. It is very educating, as it represents the life of a boy Greg Heffley (lead character) and his friend Rowley. The story is nothing but the diary of Greg Heffley and his life moments. Though it says diary its more like a journal, as Greg Heffley writes about his experience in his life. I could very well connect with the book as it has many similarities with my life. My favourite part is when they go to trick or treat on Halloween but get soaked with foam instead. The funny part is when they try to build the world’s largest snowman during winter on Christmas with all the snow to earn a world record to impress their friends but instead the snowman melts which made him sad, so he let time pass by to forget it. I really like that he didn’t make a fuss out of it.

Honestly, it’s a great book and you should definitely read it and I promise you wouldn’t regret it, because it is hilarious with a lot of funny tricks and twists.
