I read a book called Rosie Revere, Engineer.
It’s about a young girl named Rosie and her dream was to be an engineer. When no one looks at her at school, she tries to find stuff in the trash can to build her creative things.
When she was very young, her favourite uncle was Zookeeper Fred. She made him a hat to keep snakes like pythons away. She used parts of a fan and cheddar cheese spray which of course keeps snakes away from sitting on your head. Then when she brought it to Fred the next day, he started laughing and said, “I love it, Oh I truly do!” But Rosie knew he was lying and didn’t really like it. So from now on Rosie kept her dreams to herself.
Then one day her aunt Rose came over. Her aunt told Rosie that she always dreamed of flying an airplane. So the next day Rosie made her own plane and she called it the cheese-copter. When she turned it on the cheese copter flew a little and crashed! Then she herd laughing and turned around to see her aunt slap her knee and laugh and then said, “You did it!”
“But I failed” said Rosie. But she tried again and it worked.
People, what I learned from the book is if you give up you will never learn from your mistakes! We should always try our best and never give up.
