The Mystery of the Strange Messages
If you like adventure, The Mystery of the Strange Messages will be a thrilling book for you. It is a book from the Five Find-Outers series written by Enid Blyton. The main characters are Fatty, Larry, Daisy, Pip, and Bets, and Fatty’s dog, Buster.
Somebody cut out letters from newspapers to write strange messages and sent them to Mr. Goon. It says the Smiths in the house called Ivies are hiding their real identity, and they must be cleared out. Mr. Goon thinks that the Find-Outers wrote the notes. So he asked them but they did not write them.
So, the Five Find-Outers decided to find who wrote the strange messages. Ern, who is Mr. Goon’s nephew, also joins the five friends. Fatty wears disguises and talks to the neighbors.
They find out that The Ivies is the old name of a house that is now called Fairlin Hall. The Smiths are living there taking care of the house. The kids felt that the Smiths are definitely hiding something because they don’t talk to others and are very quiet. The Five Find-Outers are suspicious because what is there in Fairlin Hall? Who wants to get the Smiths to out of that house?
You must read the book to find out!
I like reading the Five Find-Outers because Fatty is so fearless. He can always get out of his troubles. I would love to get secret messages and wear disguises. But my mother will not let me because she’ll be so worried. My favourite character is Buster, Fatty’s dog. He is loyal and cheerful, and I think it is funny that he always barks at Mr. Goon. He reminds me of my dog, Rocky, who always waits for me when I come back from school.
I recommend this book to other kids.
