Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

The wizarding world is going through a huge crisis. They have lost one of the greatest wizards of all time, The Headmaster of Hogwarts, Dumbledore. Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows – the final part of the 7-book series based on the life of the young wizard Harry Potter and his friends starts on this sad note.  There is destruction and chaos and panic everywhere, but Harry and his friends Hermione and Ron must soldier on to find the horcruxes- pieces of Lord Voldemort’s soul hidden in objects. How they go about this humongous task and finally defeat Voldemort is what this final book is all about.

The book is very fast paced as there is very little time to destroy Voldemort’s horcruxes. There are also lots of twists and turns. For example, the revelation that Severus Snape is a good person. I was really shocked when I found this out as throughout the books, he is thought to be evil as he has done some really bad things. But the biggest twist of all is that Harry is the seventh horcrux. Now this was the biggest surprise of the series. Also, I was even more shocked when I found out that Voldemort created a seventh horcrux without even knowing it. This turn made the story most shocking and completely set the pieces of the puzzle together.

The small flaws that I noticed in the book was that there were too many things going on at the same time and too many things to keep track of. Also, many people whom I liked in this book died. I found this a bit disturbing and made me really upset.

I would surely recommend this entire series to anybody who loves fantasy and believes in a little bit of magic like I sure do.
